US President Trump posted on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’, stating that, given the severe divisions within the Iranian government, this development was to be expected; furthermore, at the request of General Asim Munir, Chief of the General Staff of the Pakistani Army, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, we have, at their request, temporarily suspended military strikes against Iran, pending the formulation of a unified negotiation proposal by the Iranian leadership and relevant representatives.

I have ordered the US military to maintain the blockade, whilst all other military forces remain on full combat readiness. We will extend the ceasefire until Iran submits the relevant proposal and all negotiations between the two sides have concluded.
