Bitcoin rose as much as 9.6% to reach $26,533, its highest point since June 2022, on its fourth day of consecutive gains. The cryptocurrency has been boosted by US authorities' recent efforts to limit the damage caused by the Silicon Valley Bank's collapse.
The authorities' actions have helped to stabilize USDC, which is the second-largest stablecoin and a crucial component of digital token trading. Circle, the issuer of USDC, had deposited $3.3 billion at SVB. This development has been perceived as positive for the entire crypto industry.
The cryptocurrency has taken in stride the collapses of Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, and Silvergate Bank - all key banking partners for various crypto firms. Its recent bullish performance has also been bolstered by US consumer price data, which showed that inflation is still rising, albeit at a slower pace than the previous month. This reading may prompt the Federal Reserve to slow down or pause the interest rate hikes scheduled for next week.
Technical analysis suggests that Bitcoin has formed an inverse Head and Shoulder pattern on the weekly timeframe. Therefore, traders should wait for a breakout and retest before entering long positions.However, traders should exercise caution as the current candle is testing a robust resistance zone, which requires a confirmation from the following weekly candle closing above it to be fully (99%) bullish. Traders should be alert to potential scenarios and prioritize risk management.
