USD/CHF extended its rally for a third consecutive session on Friday, climbing toward the 0.8100 mark and reaching its highest level since November 2025 as investors continued to favor the US Dollar amid a hawkish Federal Reserve outlook and renewed geopolitical uncertainty.

The Greenback remained broadly supported after the Federal Reserve reinforced its commitment to controlling inflation, prompting markets to scale up expectations for additional policy tightening later this year. Rising US Treasury yields have further enhanced the Dollar’s appeal relative to lower-yielding currencies, including the Swiss Franc.

Geopolitical concerns also provided support to the US currency. Reports that US Vice President JD Vance canceled planned talks with Iran, combined with escalating Israeli military activity in Lebanon, raised doubts about the durability of recent diplomatic progress in the Middle East. The uncertainty boosted demand for the Dollar and helped propel USD/CHF higher.

From a technical standpoint, the pair's rebound from the 200-day Simple Moving Average near 0.7907 and subsequent break above the psychological 0.8000 level reinforced bullish momentum. Momentum indicators continue to favor further gains, although overbought conditions suggest the possibility of short-term consolidation.

Technical Analysis

USD/CHF maintains a strong bullish structure on the 4-hour chart, with price trading around 0.8054 after breaking above the key 0.8020–0.8030 resistance zone. The pair has been building a steady recovery since the May lows, forming higher highs and higher lows, which confirms that buyers remain in control.

The latest breakout is technically important because the pair has cleared a major supply area that previously capped upside attempts. As long as USD/CHF holds above 0.8020, this former resistance zone should now act as support and keep the bullish continuation setup intact.

On the upside, immediate resistance sits near 0.8100, followed by the larger target around 0.8200, which aligns with the projected bullish move on the chart. A clean break above 0.8100 would likely attract fresh momentum buying and strengthen the broader upside bias.

On the downside, a break back below 0.8020 would weaken the short-term bullish setup and expose 0.7940–0.7950, where price previously consolidated. A deeper move below that region would suggest the breakout has failed.

Momentum remains supportive, with price consolidating above the breakout zone rather than rejecting sharply lower. This suggests the current pause is more likely a continuation pattern than a reversal.
