The currency market has not yet been significantly impacted, and the safe-haven U.S. dollar is trading steadily. Meanwhile, inflation has outpaced non-farm wage growth for two consecutive periods, causing a continuous contraction in the real purchasing power of household wages and gradually imposing a negative constraint on aggregate macroeconomic demand.
Technical Analysis
On the daily chart, the GBP/USD pair shows Bollinger Bands widening downward and moving averages diverging downward, indicating a high probability of further declines. The RSI stands at 44, indicating that market sentiment is predominantly bearish. On the 4-hour chart, the Bollinger Bands are narrowing, moving averages are flattening, and the MACD fast and slow lines are approaching the 0-line, suggesting a high probability of another price decline. With the RSI at 50, market sentiment is largely neutral. The recommended strategy is to sell on rallies.
