Pemex on Friday said a small fire at its 340,000 b/d Dos Bocas refinery was extinguished and the plant is operating normally.

The Mexican state-owned oil company said in news release that the fire was triggered by a loss of containment on a discharge line. Pemex said it activated its emergency response plan, brought the facility to a safe condition and eliminated any inherent risks to the surrounding area.

"There were no impacts to personnel, the environment, or the surrounding community, and he...refinery continues to operate normally, in a stable and safe manner," Pemex said.

In its most recently available data, Pemex said Dos Bocas processed more than 206,000 b/d in November, operating at more than 60% of capacity.

Enphase Energy plans to cut about 6% of its workforce as part of a broader restructuring after the expiration of a federal tax credit sapped demand for residential solar panels.

The solar energy company said Friday that it is also simplifying parts of its organization, tightening spending and prioritizing investments going forward.

"We are aligning our cost structure to match current market conditions while staying disciplined against our financial operating model," Chief Executive Badri Kothandaraman said in a letter to employees.

Under the plan, Enphase will lay off about 160 employees, according to a Friday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company had 2,781 full-time employees as of its latest annual filing.

Enphase also plans to cut costs by relying on distributors to cover sales in certain smaller markets, prioritizing research and development in its core products and software, and boosting productivity with artificial intelligence and automation. It also expects to move certain functions to more cost-efficient regions.

The moves follow the expiration of a tax credit for homeowner-owned residential solar panels, a market that Enphase depends on, at the end of last year.

The solar industry had expected demand to surge in the final months before the tax credit expired. In October, Enphase said that it expected sales to decline in the fourth quarter, issuing a revenue outlook below analyst expectations. The company plans to report its quarterly results in February.

Enphase's stock has slid over the past year, falling 39% through Friday's market close. It's started off strong this year with a 23% gain.

Enphase is now targeting adjusted operating expenses of about $70 million to $75 million per quarter starting in the third quarter, down from about $80 million currently, as a result of slower near-term revenue growth.

The company projects it will incur about $4.6 million in restructuring and asset impairment charges, including about $4.2 million in the first quarter. About $3.7 million will be total cash expenditures.

The company expects to substantially complete the layoffs within the first half of 2026, subject to local laws.
