Deere & Co reported upbeat second-quarter earnings, but lowered its net income 2024 outlook.
The company's net sales and revenue declined 12% year-over-year to $15.235 billion, beating the consensus of $13.281 billion. EPS of $8.53, down from $9.65 YoY, beating the consensus of $7.87.
Deere lowered its 2024 net income outlook to $7.00 billion (prior $7.50 billion-$7.75 billion).

Italy reported a trade surplus of EUR 4.341 billion in March, versus a year-ago surplus of EUR 3.327 billion. The annual inflation rate in Italy slowed to 0.8% in April versus 1.2% a month ago.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed higher on Thursday, with Japan's Nikkei gaining 1.39%, China's Composite Index climbing 1.59%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gaining 0.08% and India's S&P BSE Sensex gaining 0.7%.
Industrial production in Japan rose by 4.4% month-over-month in March following a 0.6% decline in the earlier month. Japan's economy shrank by 2.0% in the first quarter, versus market expectations for a 1.5% decline.

TSR said late Wednesday that it agreed to be acquired by Vienna Parent Corp. subsidiary, Vienna Acquisition, for $13.40 per share.
Shares surged 65%, with intraday trading volume rising to over 280,000 from a daily average of about 2,300.
BM Technologies reported late Wednesday Q1 revenue that topped street forecasts.
Shares soared 46% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 11.6 million versus the stock's daily average of about 10,000.
Walmart reported Thursday higher fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue.
The company also said it now expects to meet the high-end or "slightly" exceed its initial outlook for the full fiscal year.
Shares jumped 6.9% as intraday trading volume shot to more than 41.8 million from a daily average of about 18.4 million.
U.S. major stock indices climbed higher on Thursday morning, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average achieving a historic milestone by surpassing 40,000 points.
Blue-chip stocks are experiencing their thirteenth positive session out of the last fifteen, extending the bull market that commenced in October to a 24% rally.
The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 both inched up by 0.1%, further updating their record highs, driven by soft economic data.
For the week ending May 11, unemployment benefit claims fell by 10,000 to 222,000, although this remains the third-highest level for the year.
Industrial production was flat in April, missing expectations of a 0.1% increase, while manufacturing production dropped by 0.3% from the previous month, also falling short of market forecasts of a 0.1% growth.
Treasury yields hold broadly steady, while the U.S. dollar index (DXY) witnessed minor gains, up 0.1%.
Chinese stocks continued their positive momentum, with the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF , tracking the nation’s tech stocks, up 1.8% and reaching its highest levels since mid-February 2023.
Notably, renowned ‘big short’ investor Michael Burry added Baidu Inc. to his hedge fund’s holdings and increased his stakes in JD.com Inc. and Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd. , according to the latest 13F filing.
The bloodbath on meme stocks continued, while gold and Bitcoin both fell :
Energy And Commodities: Natural gas made headlines, with U.S. Henry Hub prices rising 4% to $2.375/MMBTu, up over 35% since the start of the month. The Energy Information Administration reported that U.S. utilities injected 70 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas into storage during the week ending May 10, falling short of market expectations of a 76 bcf increase.

Sector-wise, the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund outperformed, up by 1.7%. The Materials Select Sector SPDR Fund was the laggard, down 0.6%.

Shares of Fluent Inc fell sharply during Thursday's session after posting weaker-than-expected quarterly results.
Fluent posted adjusted loss of 30 cents per share, versus market expectations for a loss of 10 cents per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $65.983 million missing estimates of $66.433 million, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
Fluent shares dipped 12.6% to $3.47 on Thursday.

Shares of TSR on Thursday surged to an all-time-high a day after the company said it has agreed to be acquired by Vienna Parent, a special purpose entity formed by Justin Christian, the founder of BCforward.
The stock was up 70% to $13.14 in morning trading. Shares have jumped 45% since the beginning of the year.
The provider of information technology staffing solutions on Wednesday said the offer made by Vienna Parent values the company at about $29 million.
Vienna Parent will acquire all outstanding shares of TSR's common stock for a purchase price of $13.40 each in cash, representing an almost 74% premium to TSR's closing price on Tuesday, the company said.
The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies.

Omeros shares were down 20% to $3.32 after the company reported a wider loss in the first quarter compared to last year.
The clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company said it had a quarterly loss of $37.2 million, or 63 cents a share, compared with a loss of $33.7 million, or 54 cents a share, in the same quarter last year.
As of March 31, Omeros had $230.3 million of cash and short-term investments available for operations and debt servicing, an increase of $58.5 million from year-end 2023. This includes $11.9 million of cash used to repurchase 3.2 million shares of its common stock.
The company earned royalties for its Omidria product of $9.4 million on U.S. sales of $31.2 million. This compares to earned Omidria royalties of $9.2 million during the first quarter of 2023, on U.S. sales of $30.7 million.
