WELLE Environmental Group agreed to construct and operate a biogas purification system for Shanying International Holdings' unit, Shanying Paper (Suzhou), according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.

The agreement was signed with the Chinese waste treatment company's subsidiary, Weierli (Changzhou) Bioenergy.

The biogas purification system, which will produce 80,000 cubic meters of biogas per day, will be constructed in two phases within six months. The operation period will run for ten years after the commissioning of the second phase.

The project is expected to generate more than 47 million yuan in revenues, bringing over 470 million yuan in ten years, the filing said.

Q1 2025 revenue grew 1.45% year-over-year, but net profit fell 16% due to lower investment income and higher costs. Operating cash flow dropped 41.98%, while management increased shareholdings to signal confidence.

The fund was sold through the company's unit, Shanghai Shanying Private Equity Fund Management, to Haiyan Hangzhou Bay Venture Capital in 2024.
