Shanghai NAR Industrial Terminates Controlling Stake Acquisition in Integrated Circuit Maker

Shanghai NAR Industrial terminated its proposed acquisition of a controlling stake in bonding wire and integrated circuits producer Jiangxi Blue Micro Electronic Technology.

Despite due diligence and negotiations, the parties failed to reach a definitive agreement by the July 20 deadline, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.

The investment intent agreement was signed Jan. 20 and granted Shanghai Nar Industrial a six-month exclusivity period to finalize the deal.

Shanghai Nar Industrial plans to acquire a 51% stake in Jiangxi Blue Micro Electronic Technology, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange disclosure on Wednesday.

Blue Micro Electronic Technology produces single-crystal copper bonding wire, single-crystal copper, bonding gold wire, fine electromagnetic wire, electronic and electrical products and wires, cable TV and network products, integrated circuits and other products.

The stake is valuated between 100 million yuan and 200 million yuan. The final transaction price is still being negotiated, the Chinese digital printing company said.

The company's shares closed 2% higher.
