LIMASSOL, Cyprus, June 16, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Robin Energy Ltd. ("Robin Energy" or the "Company"), an international ship-owning company providing energy transportation services globally, today announced that it has entered into a securities purchase agreement with several institutional investors to purchase 965,000 common shares at an offering price of $5.25, for gross proceeds of approximately $5.1 million (the “Offering”), before deducting commissions and offering expenses, in a registered direct offering priced at-the-market under Nasdaq rules.

Maxim Group LLC is acting as the sole placement agent for the Offering.

Robin Energy currently intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering for working capital and general corporate purposes. The Offering is expected to close on or about June 17, 2025 (the “Closing Date”), subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

The Offering is being made pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement on Form F-3, (File No. 333-286726) previously filed with and subsequently declared effective by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) on April 28, 2025. Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1.79%, while the S&P 500 index lost 1.13%, and the NASDAQ Composite index lost 1.30%.

The best performers of the session on the Dow Jones Industrial Average were Chevron Corp (NYSE:CVX), which rose 0.65% or 0.94 points to trade at 145.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) added 0.28% or 0.44 points to end at 157.10 and Merck & Company Inc (NYSE:MRK) was down 0.13% or 0.11 points to 81.71 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sherwin-Williams Co (NYSE:SHW), which fell 5.70% or 20.32 points to trade at 335.88 at the close. Visa Inc Class A (NYSE:V) declined 4.99% or 18.55 points to end at 352.85 and Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) was down 3.61% or 2.27 points to 60.53.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) which rose 7.69% to 215.22, CF Industries Holdings Inc (NYSE:CF) which was up 6.51% to settle at 99.93 and Bunge Limited (NYSE:BG) which gained 5.69% to close at 81.41.

The worst performers were Corpay Inc (NYSE:CPAY) which was down 7.66% to 323.25 in late trade, Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ:CZR) which lost 6.41% to settle at 25.56 and Monolithic Power Systems Inc (NASDAQ:MPWR) which was down 6.38% to 672.73 at the close.

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were CERo Therapeutics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:CERO) which rose 1,755.33% to 7.31, Artelo Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:ARTL) which was up 509.33% to settle at 7.20 and Robin Energy Ltd (NASDAQ:RBNE) which gained 317.91% to close at 14.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 2238 to 541 and 65 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2717 fell and 628 advanced, while 94 ended unchanged.

US equity futures and global markets stumbled pre-market Friday, while oil and safe havens surged following Israel's attack on Iranian nuclear and military sites.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 0.9%, S&P 500 futures were down 0.8%, and Nasdaq futures were trading 1.1% lower before the opening bell.

Israel struck at least 10 nuclear and military sites across Iran, killing heads of the country's military leadership and damaging military and atomic technology capabilities, Iranian state news outlets reported. The attack came ahead of a scheduled sixth round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran over Iran's nuclear program that is now very much in question.

US President Donald Trump urged Iran to make a deal to avoid more "slaughter," but Iran's foreign ministry described the Israeli onslaught as a "declaration of war," according to AFP, and counter-attacked with a barrage of drones that Israel said it largely blocked.

Israel "should anticipate a severe punishment," Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said in a post on the X social media outlet.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed more days of attacks, while Iran has threatened to target American assets in the region as part of its response, even after the US claimed it had no direct involvement in the Israeli operation.

Oil prices surged on fears of a wider Middle East conflict, with the front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude up 8.0% to $74.90 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude 8.4% higher at $73.77 per barrel.

Gold rose 1.3% to more than $3,427 per ounce, and Bitcoin advanced 1.9% to above $105,000 as investors sought safe havens.

Global markets were overwhelmingly in the red on reverberating war fears. Japan's Nikkei 225 closed down 0.9%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.6%, and the Shanghai Composite finished 0.8% lower.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 was down 0.4% while Germany's DAX was 1.5% lower. France's CAC 40 declined 1.1%, and Spain's IBEX 35 was down 1.5% in the afternoon trading session.

US markets may also react to the June report on consumer sentiment, to be released shortly after the opening bell. Analysts expect a slight recovery in consumer optimism to 53.5 after a decline to 52.2 in May.

Later in the day, the weekly Baker Hughes North American rig count report will be released, an indicator of supply and demand in the energy sector.

In equities, oil and energy stocks were winners pre-bell with Robin Energy up 192%, Houston America Energy H up 60%, and Indonesia Energy advancing 35%.

Among losers were Archer Aviation , down 16% following news it was initiating an $850 million equity offering, and SharpLink Gaming , down 67% after announcing a secondary offering of 58.7 million shares.
