Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Banking and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lesieur Cristal (CSE:LES), which rose 4.76% or 13.40 points to trade at 294.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Risma (CSE:RIS) added 2.55% or 9.70 points to end at 389.80 and Miniere Touissit (CSE:CMT) was up 2.36% or 38.00 points to 1,650.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS), which fell 5.00% or 1.79 points to trade at 34.00 at the close. Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie Banque SA (CSE:BCI) declined 4.53% or 26.00 points to end at 544.00 and Involys (CSE:INV) was down 3.91% or 9.00 points to 221.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 40 to 19 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.49% or 0.29 to $59.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.49% or 0.31 to hit $62.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 34.35 to trade at $4,240.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 10.74, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.02% to 9.25.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 99.41.
