Market Chatter: CITIC-Backed Reconova Eyes $100 Million Hong Kong IPO

Chinese securities regulators approved China Construction Bank's issuance of up to 11,589,403,973 shares to the Finance Ministry for 105 billion yuan, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The bank issued the shares at 9.27 yuan apiece, the filing said.

CCB will list the shares on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on the next trading day after the restricted sale period expires.

CITIC Securities , Guotai Haitong Securities , China International Capital Corporation , Huatai United Securities, and GF Securities are the joint sponsors and lead underwriters of the sale.

Shandong Gold Mining unit Shanjin International Gold has hired banks to help it with its planned share sale in Hong Kong, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Among the banks hired are CITIC Securities , China International Capital Corp. , and UBS, the report said.

The size and the timing of the listing are still being discussed, Bloomberg said.

Shandong Gold's unit will issue H shares on the Hong Kong bourse to facilitate overseas development, consolidate its market position, and leverage the international market, according to a June 19 bourse filing.

Shandong Gold shares slipped 1% in Hong Kong and Shanghai during late morning trading on Tuesday.

Saint Bella (HKG:2508) launched its initial public offering in Hong Kong on Wednesday, seeking to raise up to HK$627.9 million from the deal.

The postpartum care and recovery company is offering up to 95,420,000 shares at HK$6.58 apiece, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Saint Bella expects to disclose the allocation results on June 25. Shares will begin trading on the stock exchange on June 26.

The postpartum care and recovery company intends to use the proceeds to expand its postpartum care network, open new postpartum centers, and consolidate competitors.

It also intends to use the proceeds to launch new services, train family care specialists, upgrade IT systems, and fund working capital.

Saint Bella attracted GIMM, CITIC Securities -controlled ChinaAMC (HK), JKKB, New Frontier Group Co-Founder and CEO Carl Wu, SS Morgan, Minwise, and medical aesthetic company YCISM Founder Wang Qianqing as cornerstone investors.

UBS AG Hong Kong, CLSA, Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong), GF Securities (Hong Kong) Brokerage, Mirae Asset Securities (HK), CMB International Capital, CCB International Capital, Caitong International Securities, Futu Securities International (Hong Kong), and Futu Securities International (Hong Kong), are the joint bookrunners and lead managers of the IPO.

Huaneng Power International completed the issuance of medium-term bonds amounting to 1.5 billion yuan, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing on Friday.

The bond's interest rate is 1.95% and its maturity period is three or more years.

China Merchants Bank , CITIC Securities , CSC Financial , and China Great Wall Securities acted as the lead underwriters of the issuance.

The proceeds from the issuance will be used to supplement the power company's working capital, adjust its debts structure, as well as repay bank loans and the debt due, the filing said.

Huaneng Power's Hong Kong shares rose less than 2% and Shanghai shares increased more than 1% in recent trade.

CITIC Securities unit CSI MTN issued two tranches of medium-term bonds totalling $13.3 million, according to a Wednesday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.

The first tranche is worth $10.1 million, and the other tranche amounts to $3.2 million, the securities broker said.

The issuance is part of CITIC Securities' $5 billion medium-term bond program, the disclosure said.

CITIC Securities' unit, CSI MTN, issued bonds amounting to $194 million, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Tuesday.

The bonds, which were part of a $5 billion medium-term bond program, were issued in two tranches.

After the current issuance, the total outstanding principal balance of the bonds under the program is $2.9 billion, the Chinese securities broker said.

CITIC Securities' Hong Kong shares rose less than 2% and Shanghai shares climbed 1% in recent trade.
