Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.10%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Insurance and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.10% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which rose 8.87% or 3.54 points to trade at 43.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS:PASEU) added 8.82% or 12.90 points to end at 159.10 and Tureks Turizm Tasimacilik AS (IS:TUREX) was up 6.86% or 0.50 points to 7.79 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:EFOR), which fell 9.93% or 2.54 points to trade at 23.04 at the close. Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:RALYH) declined 7.32% or 14.50 points to end at 183.50 and Gen Ilac ve Saglik Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GENIL) was down 4.02% or 5.70 points to 136.20.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 347 to 241 and 20 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.66% or 32.41 to $4,945.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 3.02% or 1.79 to hit $61.15 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 2.92% or 1.87 to trade at $65.93 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.24% to 43.37, while EUR/TRY rose 0.05% to 51.00.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 98.06.
