The units of Inspur Software and CETC Chips Technology's are among Chinese companies added to the US export restriction list.

Inspur was already on the list in 2023 for allegedly producing supercomputers for the Chinese military, while attempting to acquire items from the US for the development of the products, according to a Tuesday disclosure from the US Department of Commerce.

CETC's subsidiary, Southwest Integrated Circuit Design, is a manufacturer of silicon-based RF/analog integrated circuits and modules, which is mainly used for applications in 5G/6G cellular communication, satellite internet communication, and other uses. The semiconductor company said in its Shanghai Stock Exchange disclosure on Thursday that it is in communication with relevant parties to take appropriate actions.

Attributable net profit in 2024 is expected to have ranged between 55 million yuan and 73 million yuan, compared with 234.0 million yuan the previous year, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
