          Wheat Prices Resume Falling

          Trading Economics

Wheat futures fell toward $5 per bushel, levels not seen since August 2024, as favorable weather across key U.S. growing regions supported expectations for a strong harvest. Timely rainfall in states like Kansas and North Dakota helped ease earlier concerns over crop stress, pressuring prices.

Meanwhile, geopolitical uncertainties, including ongoing U.S.-China trade tensions, added to market caution.

In Russia, a recent cold spell raised concerns over potential crop damage, but these were largely offset by increased export activity, easing fears of global supply disruption.

Additionally, diplomatic efforts by the U.S. to stabilize the situation in Ukraine also contributed to calming supply-side worries.

Despite some supportive developments, traders remained wary, weighing improved growing conditions against broader global risks.
