Sichuan Changhong Electric forecasts a first-half attributable net profit of between 439 million yuan and 571 million yuan, compared with a profit of 280.5 million yuan the previous year.

The growth of between 57% and 104% is mainly due to a rise in non-recurring gains, particularly from the fair value increase in Sichuan Huafeng Technology, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Shares of the consumer electronics company climbed less than 1% in recent trade.
