China Shenhua Energy forecasts attributable profit to have decreased 8.6% to 16% to between 23.6 billion yuan and 25.6 billion yuan in the first half from the restated profit of 29.5 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The restatement accounts for the acquisition of 100% of Hangjin Energy held by China Energy Corp., the filing said.
The downbeat forecast is attributable to lower coal sales and average selling price, the filing said.
