Fundamental Analysis
In the early European session on Tuesday, the EUR/USD is positioned close to 1.0850, displaying signs of recovery. The US Dollar's decline is exerting downward pressure on the pair, coinciding with an upturn in risk sentiment. Market attention is now focused on mid-tier US economic data and speeches from ECB officials.
In the early European session on Tuesday, the EUR/USD is hovering around 1.0850 following a positive close on Monday. The improving risk sentiment may hinder demand for the US Dollar, thus aiding the pair's recovery in the short term.
At the start of the week, the USD experienced mild selling pressure, allowing EUR/USD to gain momentum.
Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Austan Goolsbee indicated on Monday that he aligns with the notion of three rate cuts in 2024. Meanwhile, Fed Governor Lisa Cook emphasized the delicate balance in policy outlook, stating the risks associated with both excessive easing and delayed action. Despite these mixed remarks, the market reaction remained subdued.
Later today, the US Census Bureau is set to release Durable Goods Orders data for February, with expectations of a 1.3% increase following January's 6.2% contraction. While a positive reading could initially support the USD, any gains may be limited unless there's a notable shift in risk sentiment.
In early European trading, US stock index futures are showing gains between 0.2% and 0.4%, suggesting a bullish opening for Wall Street that could potentially push EUR/USD further upward.
Technical Analysis
EUR/USD has been gaining strength after touching a strong support level and could be heading towards the top. One of the confluence that EUR/USD could return to the top is because we have imbalance above which increases the probability of EUR/USD heading towards the upside to fill the imbalance.
Besides that, we also have an ascending support level supporting EUR/USD from going down therefore I will be taking a long position and having my stop loss right below the strong support level.
