Bitget Wallet Adds Google and Apple Login With Hardware-Level Security

New seedless model brings familiar Web2 app login and TEE-based protection to digital assets as Web3 wallets race to simplify onboarding

Bitget Wallet, the leading everyday finance app, has added a social login feature that lets users create and access a crypto wallet using Google, Apple ID, or email, lowering one of the biggest barriers to entering Web3. Instead of memorizing a 12-word recovery phrase, users can now open a self-custodial wallet the same way they sign in to everyday apps, going from installation to their first onchain transaction in seconds without needing to understand key management. The new login method is secured by a hardware-based Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which preserves full self-custody while offering a familiar, app-style experience.

The feature is designed for newcomers who find seed-phrase backup challenging or risky. TEE is a protected area of a device's hardware — similar to the secure chip used in smartphones — that isolates sensitive data from the rest of the operating system. In Bitget Wallet, private keys are generated, encrypted, and used only within this secure zone, ensuring they are never exposed to the wallet provider or the device. Users can switch phones and regain access simply by logging in again, with all signing operations performed inside the TEE and completed in milliseconds.

At launch, the social-login wallet supports Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Tron, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Morph, enabling transfers, swaps, payments, staking, and DApp access. Upcoming updates will add email-based transfers, enhanced recovery options, and support for additional blockchains.

Bitget Wallet's architecture uses AWS Nitro Enclaves to protect key material throughout its lifecycle. Private keys remain encrypted at all times and are decrypted only within the enclave after authentication. Unlike MPC wallets — which distribute key fragments across devices and servers — TEE keeps key operations local, reducing latency and simplifying recovery while preserving non-custodial ownership.

Although social-login access has been explored across the industry, few wallets combine it with true TEE-based isolation. Device compatibility requirements and the need to redesign how authentication, biometrics, and recovery interact have limited adoption. Bitget Wallet is among the early providers to bring this combined approach to a consumer-ready product, reflecting a broader industry shift toward hardware-isolated self-custody at mobile scale.
