In addition, the Summary of Economic Projections, which is published quarterly, contains officials' projections of key economic indicators (such as inflation, economic growth, and employment) for the short- and medium-term future. These forecasts can provide clues about the direction and pace of monetary policy, as they reflect Fed officials' views on economic trends. Market participants usually refer to the SPE to adjust their policy expectations, particularly regarding the direction of interest rates.
