Fed made it very clear that they are not rising the interest rate, so it is a clear indication of a sell in gold. and it is a short from 4724

@john this is called stagflation hedge. They are going into recession so no one cares about interest rate anymore, when you dont have food to eat, will you buy gold? the ability to hold gold by retail has disappeared.

What is inflation? your government owes money, so it borrows more money for interest, eroding the ability of your paper currency, so what happens? people start spending less, affecting every industry, so no expansion is possible, when inflation soars, technically gold will rise but it wont, it is what we called decoupling, that is why after fed announcement, market didn't even bother
