🇺🇸 NEW YORK SESSION New York has a different role today. There isn't a major Tier-1 U.S. economic release scheduled for Monday comparable with CPI/NFP/FOMC. However: 11:30 AM UK — Fed Governor Goolsbee speaks ForexFactory lists Goolsbee speaking at 11:30 AM UK time. This is important because Fed expectations are currently directly influencing Gold. Markets are pricing meaningful odds of another October Fed hike, while U.S. 2-year yields are around 4.75%. Higher yields are a headwind for non-interest-bearing Gold. So: 11:15–11:45 UK I would be careful with new M5 entries. Watch: USD US 2Y/10Y yields Gold reaction rather than trading the speech headline itself.
