Malaysia SC Warns of MTC Asset Management Clone, DZGI and Bursa Coins

7 hours ago By Jane

Malaysia SC warning updates on 22 September 2026 added three entities to the Securities Commission Malaysia’s Investor Alert List: Potential Clone Entity – MTC Asset Management, DZGI and Potential Clone Entity – Bursa Coins.

SC Updates Investor Alert List

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) said its Investor Alert List covers unauthorised websites, investment products, companies and individuals. The regulator stresses that the list is not exhaustive and is intended as a guide before investors make investment decisions.

The 22 September update identifies MTC Asset Management and Bursa Coins as potential clone entities, while DZGI is also included in the alert.

Clone and Unlicensed Activity Risks

SC records state that Bursa Coins uses bursa-coins.my and misuses the name and credentials of Bursa Malaysia Berhad to conduct an illegal investment scheme. It is also flagged for carrying on unlicensed capital-market activities involving securities.

DZGI is linked in SC records to an Android app and is flagged as operating an illegal investment scheme and carrying on unlicensed securities-dealing activities.

Investors Should Verify Before Investing

An Investor Alert List entry is a regulatory warning and should not be treated as a court judgment. Investors should independently verify an entity's identity and authorisation through official SC records before transferring funds or providing personal information.
