FXCM UK Posts $2.2M Loss Despite Higher Commission Revenue

5 hours ago By Bob

FXCM UK generated $10.8 million in commission revenue in 2025, according to FNG, citing filings by Stratos Markets Limited. The results offer context for separate deals involving Trade Nation and AvaTrade.

Revenue Rises, but Loss Persists

FNG reported that commission revenue rose 73% year on year. Revenue after an intercompany transfer pricing adjustment was $4.8 million, while the company recorded a $2.2 million net loss.

Administrative expenses exceeded $12 million, including $5.5 million in staff costs. Client cash reached $110.3 million at December 31, 2025, up 24%, while annual retail trading volume increased 40% to $340 billion.

Trade Nation Takes UK Client Business

As BrokersView previously reported, Trade Nation announced an agreement on October 6 to acquire FXCM’s UK client book, with the transfer expected in late November 2026.

FNG said Stratos Markets Limited’s results include business lines outside the deal. Its total revenue therefore should not be treated as the revenue being acquired by Trade Nation.

AvaTrade Agrees Separate FXCM Deal

In a separate transaction reported on October 9, AvaTrade agreed to acquire the majority of FXCM Group’s business and brand rights. Financial terms and a complete asset breakdown were not disclosed.

The agreements cover different parts of FXCM’s business and should not be described as either buyer acquiring every FXCM operation. Clients should review official notices for changes to their account provider, trading terms and transfer arrangements.
