1. USD/JPY Analysis:

News Summary:

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects the Bank of Japan (BOJ) to raise interest rates once more, bringing its policy rate closer to the neutral level. However, given heightened global uncertainty, further monetary policy adjustments should remain flexible. The BOJ is currently moving gradually toward the neutral interest rate. The IMF estimates Japan’s neutral interest rate to be in the range of 1.1% to 2.2%, with a midpoint estimate of approximately 1.5%. The BOJ’s current policy rate of 1.25% is already within this estimated range.

Trend Analysis:

We can see USD/JPY is trading sideways on the H4 chart, hovering near the 48 hours moving average. In addition, the MACD double line and histogram bars are converging near the zero axis. The buy limit could be set, stop loss is necessary.

2. Gold Analysis:

News Summary:

Gold performed strongly last week. Although technical patterns still suggest that the market may continue to consolidate its previous gains, the bullish outlook remains justified as long as spot gold does not decisively break below the $4,000 level. A weaker US dollar and declining US Treasury yields have indeed eased pressure on gold, but the current rebound is not yet sufficient to confirm that the correction has ended. Gold is influenced not only by inflation data but is also highly sensitive to changes in expectations for real yields.

Trend Analysis:

On the H4 chart, we can see gold faced resistance and pulled back, currently trading near the 48 hours moving average. Meanwhile, the MACD double line and energy bars are expanding near the zero axis. The buy limit could be placed, stop loss is mandatory.
