OTSO claims to be operated by OTSO Markets (Pty) Ltd, which it states is licensed by South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) under FSP number 54190. We were able to locate this entity in the FSCA’s public register using the provided license number. However, the FSCA does not list or verify the domain names or trading platforms associated with its licensed firms, making it impossible to confirm whether the OTSO website is genuinely linked to the regulated entity.
Separately, OTSO also claims that Abigail Funds Management Pty Ltd, trading as “OTSO Australia”, holds an Australian financial services license from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). We did find this company in ASIC’s registry; however, this ASIC license does not authorize the provision of retail forex trading services. Furthermore, ASIC does not publicly list OTSO or any associated website as a registered brand or trading name under this entity. As a result, we cannot independently verify that either the South African or Australian licensed entities are legitimately operating the OTSO trading platform.
Given the lack of verifiable links between the licenses and the live platform, we strongly advise you to exercise extreme caution if considering OTSO as a broker. Should you choose to proceed, please avoid depositing substantial funds until full transparency is established.
