Spain’s financial regulator, CNMV, has issued fresh warnings against several unauthorized investment platforms and suspected clone firms allegedly targeting investors with unlicensed financial services.
According to the regulator, the entities are not registered with the CNMV and are therefore not authorized to provide investment services or carry out activities subject to Spanish financial supervision.
Among the entities flagged were clone websites allegedly impersonating regulated firms, including Growell Capital and BD Gestión de Inversiones AV.
The warning highlights the continued rise of clone firm scams, where fraudsters imitate licensed financial companies to gain investor trust.
CNMV urged investors to verify whether investment providers are properly registered before transferring funds and reminded the public that its warning database contains updated alerts on suspected financial scams and unauthorized entities.
