Plus500 has conditionally agreed to acquire Hedge Capital Markets Inc. and its subsidiaries, supporting plans for a US trading “super-app” expected in Q1 2027.
Hedge Deal Awaits Approval
In its October 13 announcement, Plus500 said the acquisition includes an SEC-registered broker-dealer that is a FINRA member. Hedge provides US retail investors with access to exchange-listed stocks and ETFs.
The purchase will be funded entirely from existing cash resources. Completion remains conditional, including expiry of the required notice period and FINRA approval under Rule 1017.
One App Across Multiple Markets
The planned platform would combine stocks, options and ETFs with futures and prediction markets, broadening Plus500’s US offering beyond its existing CFTC-regulated operations.
A newly established New York hub will work alongside the company’s Chicago operations to support the expansion. The Q1 2027 launch remains a target rather than a confirmed release date.
