Mukid Chowdhury Leaves Tickmill to Join Trading 212 as CEO

Mukid Chowdhury left Tickmill, a multi-regulated Forex and CFD provider, to join Trading 212, a London fintech company, as Chief Executive Officer earlier this month.

Mukid replaced Nick Saunders who left Trading 212 and joined GAIN Capital, which is now owned by StoneX, as the head of cash equities earlier this year.

Mr. Chowdhury is a famous figure in the industry and has brought almost two decades of experience working at several top companies. His skill sets are mostly in finance divisions at multiple companies.

Mukid started his career as Interest Rate Derivative Product Controller at ING in May 2002 and has worked there for over two years. Prior to his new role, Mukid has served Tickmill for one year and 5 months as Group Chief Financial Officer. In addition, he worked at City Index, the brokerage brand now under the control of StoneX as a group financial controller for four years. Between May 2016 and Dec 2019, Mukid worked at London Capital Group as UK CEO & Chief Financial Officer. Before that, Mukid spent over five years at GAIN Capital as Finance Director (International Operations) and seven months as Head of Finance (Investment Banking) at Matrix Group Limited.

Trading 212 is controlled by Bulgarian entrepreneurs Borislav Nedialkov and Ivan Ashminov.
