FCA-Regulated Broker ITI Capital Enters Special Administration

9 hours ago By Jane

ITI Capital entered special administration on 25 September 2026, with two Teneo Financial Advisory insolvency practitioners appointed to oversee the FCA-regulated UK brokerage.

Teneo Administrators Take Control

The FCA confirmed that Duncan Perring and David Soden of Teneo Financial Advisory Ltd were appointed as special administrators. They will manage ITI Capital's affairs, including matters involving customers and creditors.

ITI Capital remains authorised and regulated by the FCA during the administration. The broker provided customers with access to shares and bonds and held investments on their behalf.

Restrictions Preceded Administration

The FCA said ITI Capital agreed on 10 August 2025 to stop most regulated activities in the UK and overseas and stop accepting new client money or custody assets. Separately, ITI Capital states that additional voluntary restrictions became effective on 10 July 2025.

The firm's retail wind-down dates back further: FCA requirements effective in June 2022 required it to cease retail client services and work toward returning or transferring client money and custody assets.

What Customers Should Know

The special administrators will assess client money and assets and work to return them where possible. The FCA says eligible FSCS claims may cover a shortfall or distribution costs up to £85,000, subject to eligibility.

Customers should also be alert to impersonation scams and verify anyone claiming to represent ITI Capital, Teneo or the FCA.
