Indian Businessman Loses ₹32.8 Million in Forex Trading Scam Linked to Anzo Capital Impersonation

Jun 05, 2025 BrokersView

A businessman from Hyderabad, India, has lost ₹32.8 million in an online financial fraud involving forex trading. The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has registered a formal case based on his complaint, launching an investigation into the scam.

According to the victim, he was introduced to a forex trading platform called “Anzo Capital Global” (https://pc.anzolimited.in) by individuals who shared the link with him.

Following their instructions, he converted Indian rupees into USDT via Real-time gross settlement (RTGS) transfers to Indian merchants to fund his trading wallet.

Initially, small deposits generated apparent “profits”, reinforcing his trust in the platform. Encouraged by the “returns”, he made larger transactions between January 8 and May 19, transferring substantial sums to various merchants under the direction of the fraudsters.

When the victim attempted to withdraw funds, he was informed that he had to pay ₹6 million in taxes before accessing his “profits”. Trusting the demand as genuine, he paid the “taxes” and received three partial withdrawals.

However, subsequent demands for additional payments under various pretexts raised serious suspicions. Realizing he had been scammed, he reported the incident to the police.

BrokersView’s investigation into “Anzo Capital Global”

A closer review of “Anzo Capital Global” reveals a poorly designed website featuring only a currency pairs pricing chart and basic login/register options, without any corporate or regulatory information.

In addition, “Anzo Capital Global” appears to imitate the branding and logo of the legitimate forex broker Anzo Capital, a clear impersonation attempt to facilitate its fraudulent activity.

BrokersView strongly warns against engaging with https://pc.anzolimited.in or similar suspicious forex platforms. If you suspect a website is fraudulent or have fallen victim to a financial scam, you can Submit a Complaint to BrokersView.
