GCEX Appoints Carmen Tan as Managing Director, MENA

GCEX Group has appointed Carmen Tan as Managing Director for its MENA operations, based in Dubai. In her new role, Tan will lead growth initiatives for the VARA-regulated entity, focusing on delivering tailored solutions and services to institutional clients across the region. Her remit also extends to driving market expansion in Asia, leveraging her fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Tan joins GCEX from CoinW Exchange in Dubai, where she served as Global Strategy & Growth Manager before being promoted to Chief Communications Officer. During her tenure, she scaled institutional client relationships, led a team of eight senior sales professionals, and significantly improved user conversion metrics while representing the firm at key blockchain and crypto industry events. Prior to CoinW, Tan worked at MultiBank Group as Regional Marketing & Growth Lead, expanding the institutional client base across Asia.

A strong advocate of operating within regulated frameworks, Tan has completed rigorous Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) training.
