Fake investment scam accounts continue to proliferate on all major social media, and it seems to have recently spread to TikTok. A trader has complained to BrokersView about an investment fraud scheme called Saham Syariah whose Tiktok handle is @sahamsyariah07, and traders need to remain vigilant against the account.

As you can see in the screenshot above, the scammer posted a link to its WhatsApp account directly on the homepage of its TikTok account, which is almost identical to the details of the case as reported by the client.

The client, possibly attracted by the account's posts about investments and profits, reached out to the platform to know more about trading, and the scammer responded to her query and showed her the details of the trading package offered before asking her to contact him for further details via WhatsApp.

After adding the client's WhatsApp account, the scammer described the steps she needed to follow to join trading, whereupon she agreed to start trading from the basic plan. According to the investment plan offered by the scam platform, a minimum deposit of RM100 will allegedly earn you RM5,000 and a maximum investment of RM2,000 can generate RM170,000 in profit.

Whether or not it generated a profit is unknown, but a few hours later, the scammer asked the client to pay a brokerage fee, which the client did. When asked to make another payment, the client realized she had been scammed.
