A trader has filed a complaint against Exness after the broker allegedly blocked a withdrawal request and permanently restricted the account, despite the investor claiming all trades were conducted manually and in compliance with platform rules.
According to the complaint, the trader initially deposited $16.83 into an Exness trading account. Through what the investor describes as normal trading, the account balance increased to $1,327.63.
The trader provided screenshots showing two profitable trades: Trade 1: +$669.60, Trade 2: +$641.20.

The combined profit amounted to $1,310.80, bringing the total account balance to $1,327.63. The investor also claims to possess complete evidence, including account records, trading history, balance screenshots and other supporting materials.

However, when the trader attempted to withdraw $1,130, Exness rejected the request.
According to an email shared by the complainant, Exness stated:
"Following a thorough review by our Compliance and Risk team, we regret to inform you that your withdrawal request of $1,130 has been permanently flagged and blocked due to the detection of bot-like trading activity associated with your account."

The broker further explained that transactions identified under these circumstances are frozen and will not be processed. As a result, no ARN or RRN reference numbers were generated because the withdrawal was never successfully cleared.
The email also states that the decision is "final and non-reversible", citing the company's terms of use, which prohibit automated or non-human trading behavior.
The dispute centers on a key question: Was the account genuinely involved in prohibited automated trading, or was a legitimate trader wrongly flagged by the broker's risk-control system?
At present, the investor insists that all trading was conducted manually and that the profits were earned through legitimate market activity. On the other hand, Exness maintains that its Compliance and Risk team detected "bot-like trading activity" and therefore permanently blocked the withdrawal.
Without access to the broker's internal investigation, server logs or technical evidence supporting the allegation, it is not possible to independently verify either party's claims.
Cases like this highlight the importance of transparency. When a broker denies withdrawals on the grounds of prohibited trading behavior, investors often expect clear explanations or evidence supporting the decision. Conversely, brokers have an obligation to enforce their trading rules and protect their platforms from abusive or automated trading practices if violations are detected.
The allegations described above come from publicly available user complaints and reported cases.
Investors are advised to carefully review a broker's trading terms before opening an account and to retain complete trading records, communication history and transaction evidence in case a dispute arises. Where disagreements cannot be resolved directly with the broker, investors may also consider seeking assistance through the broker's dispute resolution process or the relevant financial regulator if applicable.
Always verify the legal entity you are contracting with, read the account agreement, understand the governing jurisdiction, and check recent complaints. If still unresolved, file a complaint through the broker’s official channel or the regulator.
Or you can promptly submit a complaint to BrokersView, and we will assist you in reporting the situation to the relevant regulatory authorities.
