Aug 12, 2026 BrokersView

Trading and investing platform eToro has agreed to acquire US-focused online brokerage TradeZero for up to $231 million, as the company moves to strengthen its presence in the US market.

eToro announced the deal on August 11, saying the acquisition will combine TradeZero’s trading technology, broker-dealer infrastructure and active trader community with eToro’s global platform and user base.

Founded in 2015, TradeZero operates across the US, Canada and international markets. The company provides trading platforms and services focused on active traders and also gives eToro access to the Canadian market.

eToro CEO and Co-Founder Yoni Assia said the acquisition would provide a faster path to launching new products for US customers while expanding the company’s trading and investment offering.

Under the agreement, eToro expects to pay up to $231 million, consisting of cash and up to 2.5 million newly issued Class A common shares, subject to customary adjustments.

TradeZero generated approximately $80 million in revenue with an 81% gross margin over the last 12 months. eToro expects the acquisition to be accretive to adjusted earnings per share in the first year following completion.

The deal remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the first half of 2027.

The acquisition comes as eToro continues to expand its US operations and broaden its product offering. TradeZero’s existing broker-dealer infrastructure and technology could allow eToro to accelerate the development of new services for US traders while strengthening its position in the highly competitive online brokerage market.
