Base Markets has appointed Nazim Moussaoui as Head of Premium Clients and Partnerships, adding an experienced financial markets executive as the newly launched multi-asset broker enters its next phase of commercial growth.
Based in Mauritius, Moussaoui will oversee relationships with high-value traders, institutional clients, and introducing brokers across the Middle East and international markets. His responsibilities will include developing premium client relationships, expanding strategic partnerships, and supporting the growth of Base Markets' client and IB network.
Moussaoui brings more than 20 years of experience across central banking, treasury, institutional sales, funds management, and online brokerage. He began his career at the Central Bank of Ireland before spending nearly seven years at Depfa Bank, where he held senior roles in treasury trading and institutional sales, working with central banks, sovereign wealth funds, and institutional clients in the Middle East.
He later held investment operations and funds management positions in Australia and Luxembourg, including roles at RBC Investor & Treasury Services and Schroders.
Over the past six years, Moussaoui has focused on premium client management within the online brokerage industry. He previously worked at Pepperstone as Premium Client Manager for Australia, MENA, and Latin America, and later served as Head of Sales – Middle East, Premium Clients at Capital.com. He most recently worked within Pepperstone's Premium Clients team.
Commenting on his appointment, Moussaoui said Base Markets aims to provide experienced traders with strong execution, transparent pricing, and relationship-based service.
Base Markets CEO Alex Kolpokchi said Moussaoui's experience across central banking, institutional markets, and leading brokerage firms would be valuable as the company develops its client and partner network.
The appointment comes just weeks after Base Markets' public launch. The broker is now expanding its client base and introducing broker network, while also planning additional regulatory licensing and an operational presence in the Middle East and other international markets.
