OANDA Japan temporarily delayed October 22, 2026 withdrawal requests for security checks after a breach at an external cloud service raised concerns over possible exposure of clients’ trading credentials.
The broker described the delay as a precaution against unauthorised withdrawals and said client assets remained segregated under Japanese law.
Requests received by 11 a.m. on October 22 are scheduled for processing from 11 a.m. on October 23, after security checks are completed. OANDA Japan said the funds should reach registered bank accounts by 4 p.m., subject to bank operating conditions.
Requests received by 11 a.m. on October 23 will follow the normal schedule. All times are Japan time.
In a separate notice, OANDA Japan warned that information stored on Onamae.com Desktop Cloud, a GMO Internet Group service, may have been viewed by an unauthorised third party.
The virtual private server service lets traders run MT4, MT5 and automated trading programs around the clock. OANDA said clients who used its platforms through the service may have had their account IDs and passwords exposed.
Affected clients were urged to change their OANDA account and MetaTrader passwords, enable two-factor authentication, review trading records and report suspicious activity to support.
