Empire FX Hires Former Pepperstone Executive Linda Muriuki as Head of Sales

Kenya-based retail FX and CFDs broker Empire FX has appointed Linda Nkatha Muriuki as Head of Sales, marking the company’s second senior hire from Pepperstone within the past two weeks.

Muriuki joins Empire FX after spending six years at Pepperstone, where she worked in senior sales roles focused on client relationships and regional business growth across Africa. Before that, she worked at EGM Securities, the African subsidiary of Equiti Group.

Her appointment follows the recent hiring of former Pepperstone Africa executive Sahil Patel as Chief Operating Officer, further strengthening Empire FX’s leadership team as the Kenya-regulated broker pushes for broader regional expansion.

At Empire FX, Muriuki will oversee the company’s sales strategy, client acquisition, and retention efforts across Africa and other target markets. The broker said her focus will include improving conversion strategies and strengthening long-term client relationships.

Commenting on the appointment, Muriuki said Empire FX is entering an important growth phase with ambitions to expand across key regions while building a trusted long-term brand.

The hires come as competition among brokers in Africa continues to intensify, particularly in Kenya, where regulators have attracted a growing number of international FX and CFD firms in recent years. Brokers including Capital.com, XM, FP Markets, IC Markets, and Pepperstone have all expanded their presence in the region alongside local players such as FXPesa and Scope Markets.
