CNMV Warns Against Unregistered Investment Platforms and Apps

Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has issued a new warning against multiple entities and mobile applications that are not authorised to provide investment services in Spain.

According to the regulator, the firms listed below are not registered in the official CNMV registry and therefore are not permitted to offer investment services or conduct activities subject to regulatory supervision.

Several of the flagged names are being promoted through WhatsApp groups and mobile applications, while others involve websites presenting themselves as investment companies. In one case, the CNMV clarifies that a website is impersonating a legitimately registered firm.

Investors are reminded that dealing with unregistered entities significantly increases the risk of fraud and financial loss. The CNMV advises the public to verify a company’s regulatory status through its official registry or by contacting its investor assistance service.
