Spain’s CNMV (National Securities Market Commission) published 33 warnings on September 9, 2026, based on alerts received from Luxembourg’s CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier). The warnings cover unauthorized entities, clone websites and fraudulent emails impersonating authorized financial firms.
The CNMV list includes entities such as Isladova (isladova.com), Hancuvertam (hancuvertam.pro), Tag Markets, MEXC, Alinmcol, Urbanmint Digital Assets, Nexura VG, 3CGroup and Melzapay. The list also includes websites accused of impersonating authorized firms, including visionfundlu.com, which falsely refers to RBC Funds (Lux), and hautfortpartners.com, which impersonates Hautfort Partners.
The warnings also identify Nordea Investment Funds S.A., European Broker S.A. Luxembourg, Clearstream Banking S.A., Luxempart S.A. and International Fund Services & Asset Management S.A. as entities whose identities have allegedly been misused through deceptive websites or email addresses.
The issue is not limited to the CSSF. The FCA has also warned about clone firms that copy the details of authorized companies to appear legitimate, while ASIC says scammers have impersonated the Australian regulator through emails, websites and other communications.
For investors, the key risk is that a familiar company name, website or regulator logo does not by itself prove authorization. Investors should verify the exact legal entity, domain, contact details and regulatory status through the regulator’s official register before sending funds or personal information.
The CNMV said European regulators’ warnings can be checked through its database of unauthorized entities and other warnings.
For investors comparing a regulated investment platform, a low-spread broker or an MT5 trading platform, checking the legal entity is essential. A website using the name, branding or details of a legitimate financial firm does not necessarily belong to that firm.
