FXT Review Overview

Many retail traders want to know: is FXT a good broker for their trading needs? In this comprehensive review, we analyze the platform's regulatory safety, fee structures, and execution speeds to help you make an informed decision.

Is FXT Legit and Safe?

FXT is a highly regulated and safe broker operating under ASIC and VFSC oversight, though international clients face offshore conditions.

What Is FXT? Company Background

FXT is an established multi-asset brokerage founded in 2014 in Sydney, Australia. Formerly known as Rubix FX [1.2.7], the platform rebranded in February 2020 to align with its global expansion. It operates as a brand of Gleneagle Securities, an Australian financial services firm with over a decade of history, bridging retail clients to deep liquidity pools [1.1.8, 1.2.7].

FXT Regulation

FXT is overseen by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission [1.1.1, 1.1.7]. The Australian regulator operates as a strict, top-tier financial authority, whereas the Vanuatu commission represents an offshore jurisdiction [1.1.1, 1.1.8]. You can visit the ASIC official website to confirm credentials by searching AFSL number 337985 on their register [1.1.1, 1.1.7].

The table below outlines how the broker divides its licensing [1.1.1, 1.1.7]:

Entity Name Regulator License Number Regulatory Tier Investor Protection
Gleneagle Securities (Aust) Pty Limited Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) AFSL 337985 Tier 1 Segregated bank accounts, negative balance protection, professional indemnity insurance [1.1.1, 1.1.4, 1.1.8]
Gleneagle Securities Pty Limited Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) License No. 40256 Tier 4 (Offshore) Segregated bank accounts, negative balance protection, no statutory compensation scheme [1.1.1, 1.1.7]

While traders in Australia are heavily shielded by ASIC's robust regulatory framework, global clients onboarded via the Vanuatu entity receive significantly fewer institutional safeguards in exchange for higher trading flexibility [1.1.1, 1.1.7].

Which FXT Entity Serves Your Region?

  • Onboarding splits: Australian residents register under the ASIC-regulated entity, while global clients are routed through the offshore Vanuatu (VFSC) branch [1.1.1, 1.1.7].
  • Protection differences: ASIC limits leverage to 1:30 with full consumer protections [2.2.8], while VFSC permits flexible leverage up to 1:2000 without domestic investor compensation schemes [1.1.1, 2.2.8].
  • Verification efficiency: Onboarding under the offshore Vanuatu entity is a fast, paperless process requiring less identification scrutiny than the Australian entity [1.1.8].

Restricted Countries

  • Unsupported regions: Due to regulatory restrictions, the broker cannot accept clients from the US, Ontario (Canada), North Korea, Iran, and New Zealand [1.1.2, 2.1.1].
  • Local regulations: The platform does not solicit clients from countries where forex or CFD trading is illegal.

Client Fund Protection

FXT protects retail capital using institutional safeguards:

  • Segregated client accounts: Client funds are segregated in separate accounts at AA-rated Australian banks, including National Australia Bank and Westpac [1.1.8, 3.2.4].
  • Guaranteed negative balance protection: The broker provides retail traders with negative balance protection, preventing accounts from dropping below zero [1.1.4].
  • Professional indemnity insurance: An active professional indemnity insurance policy covers up to AUD 200,000 against administrative errors [1.1.4].

FXT User Reviews and Trustpilot Rating

FXT holds an average Trustpilot rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars based on approximately 181 reviews as of June 2026, reflecting positive user sentiment [3.1.5, 3.2.2]. You can See FXT reviews on Trustpilot for real-time customer experiences. Positive reviews highlight responsive customer support and fast platform server connections [3.2.2]. Conversely, minor complaints point to withdrawal processing delays, which are standard due to strict KYC compliance checks [3.2.2].

FXT Account Types

FXT provides a tiered account environment suited for both retail beginners and high-frequency professionals, though its most competitive raw pricing models require either higher upfront capital or higher commissions.

FXT Account Types and Minimum Deposit Requirements

FXT structures its retail and professional trading environment across five distinct account tiers, matching varying capital sizes and pricing preferences.

  • Standard Account ($50 minimum deposit): Offers spreads from 0.2 pips with zero commissions.
  • Standard Plus Account ($50 minimum deposit): Features spreads from 0.3 pips with zero commissions.
  • Standard Pro Account ($100 minimum deposit): Delivers spreads from 0.1 pips with zero commissions.
  • Raw Spread Account ($50 minimum deposit): Features spreads from 0.1 pips and a $7.00 round-turn commission.
  • Zero Account ($3,000 minimum deposit): Features raw 0.0-pip spreads and an ultra-competitive commission starting from $0.80 round turn.

Active scalpers will find Raw Spread and Zero accounts more economical [1.1.4, 1.1.5], though the Zero account's high deposit represents a barrier for casual users [1.1.5, 2.2.3].

Does FXT Offer an Islamic Account?

FXT does not currently offer Islamic or swap-free accounts on any of its standard or professional trading tiers. Consequently, Muslim traders who must comply with Sharia law regarding interest-bearing accounts will find this broker unsuitable, as all overnight positions are subject to standard swap fees.

FXT Fees and Trading Costs

FXT provides competitive spreads on its Raw Spread tier, but standard accounts carry wider markups and swaps that align closely with industry averages.

FXT Trading Fees (Spreads / Commission Fees / Swap and Overnight Fees)

FXT divides its trading costs between variable market spreads, markup-free raw commissions, and standard overnight swaps depending on the selected account type. Raw spreads starting from 0.0 pips are reserved for Zero accounts, whereas Standard tiers carry wider markups from 0.2 to 0.3 pips [1.1.4, 1.1.5]. Commissions are only charged on Raw Spread ($7.00 round turn) and Zero ($0.80 round turn) accounts [1.1.4, 1.1.5]. Overnight swap fees are calculated daily at 00:00 server time, with a triple-swap rate charged on Wednesdays [1.1.1].

FXT Non-Trading Fees (Inactivity Fees / Currency Conversion Fees)

FXT maintains a highly cost-efficient non-trading fee schedule by charging zero maintenance or inactivity fees [1.2.2]. Idle accounts incur no charges [1.2.2]. However, currency conversion markups apply when trading, depositing, or withdrawing in a denomination different from your account's base currency, which supports USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, SGD, NZD, and CAD [1.1.7].

FXT Deposits & Withdrawals

FXT maintains a highly accessible deposit and withdrawal system featuring zero internal broker fees and fast 24-hour processing, though third-party payment channels may apply independent transaction charges [1.2.5, 1.2.7]. The broker supports safe funding channels including Visa/Mastercard, Bank Wire, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, and Tether (USDT on ERC20/TRC20) [1.2.5, 2.1.1, 2.1.5]. Both deposits and withdrawals require a standard minimum limit of $50 [2.1.1]. Most deposit transactions are credited instantly, while withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours [1.2.5, 2.1.1]. The broker charges no internal fees, though some clients experience minor compliance-based clearance delays [1.2.5, 3.2.2].

FXT Trading Platforms, Conditions & Experience

FXT provides a highly technical, ECN-driven environment featuring industry-standard MetaTrader platforms, rapid STP execution, and competitive trading conditions tailored for active traders.

Does FXT Support MT4, MT5 & Mobile Trading?

FXT supports the widely acclaimed MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms alongside its own proprietary web and mobile software options. Both MT4 and MT5 fully support automated Expert Advisors (EAs). The browser-based FXT WebTrader integrates TradingView charting directly into the client portal. On the move, the FXT Mobile App for iOS and Android provides real-time spread tracking, while the FXT Social Trading platform supports copy-trading.

What Can You Trade on FXT? (markets and instruments)

FXT hosts a multi-asset lineup of over 500 tradable CFDs, prioritizing major liquid global assets over extensive niche stock offerings. This lineup includes:

  • Forex pairs: Over 70 currency pairs, including liquid majors, crosses, and exotics.
  • Commodities: Metals (Gold, Silver) and energies (WTI, Brent Crude).
  • Indices: 11 major indices, including the Dow Jones 30 and Nasdaq 100.
  • Cryptocurrencies: Multiple crypto CFDs, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
  • Shares: Over 117 stock CFDs across liquid U.S. and Hong Kong exchanges.

FXT Leverage, Margin & Order Execution

FXT operates on a strict non-dealing desk (STP/ECN) model that routes retail orders directly to institutional liquidity providers, but leverage ranges vary significantly by jurisdiction. Execution is automated, utilizing a 100% margin call warning and a mandatory 50% margin close-out (stop-out) rule. The platform also offers proprietary Stop-Out Protection to delay liquidations during highly volatile spreads. The table below illustrates the leverage differences based on your operational entity:

Asset Class ASIC Regulated Entity (Australia) VFSC Regulated Entity (Vanuatu)
Forex Majors Max 1:30 Max 1:2000
Gold & Minor Forex Max 1:20 Max 1:500
Indices / Major Energies Max 1:10 / 1:20 Max 1:100
Stock CFDs Max 1:5 Max 1:10
Cryptocurrency CFDs Max 1:2 Max 1:100

FXT Research Tools & Educational Resources

FXT delivers premium, automated research insights through native Trading Central integration, but its structured educational curriculum remains underdeveloped. Trading Central offers technical analysis and trade signals natively within MT4 and MT5. The broker provides a free low-latency VPS connection to automated traders meeting minimum trading volume requirements. However, in-house educational materials are basic, lacking structured video courses or detailed academies.

How Good Is FXT Customer Support?

FXT offers exceptionally reliable multilingual support with live human agents available 24 hours a day on all active trading days. Live human support is accessible 24/5 via email (service@FXT), phone, live chat, and WhatsApp (+60177386596). Automated help is available 24/7 in 44 languages. Australian clients can utilize a dedicated toll-free number (1800 FXTRADING), while international clients can call +61 2 8039 7366.

Who Is FXT Best For?

FXT is highly optimized for active, technology-driven traders who rely on fast market execution and high leverage, though it is less accommodating for long-term investors or those requiring comprehensive educational guidance.

Is FXT Good for Scalpers and Algorithmic Traders?

FXT is an exceptional choice for scalpers and algorithmic traders due to its low-latency STP/ECN trade execution and unrestrictive platform policies. Its non-dealing desk infrastructure minimizes slippage, and the free low-latency VPS ensures algorithmic Expert Advisors operate with high uptime. The $50 deposit on Raw Spread accounts delivers competitive spreads from 0.1 pips with a predictable flat-commission structure.

Is FXT Good for Copy Trading?

FXT is highly suitable for passive copy traders seeking to automatically mirror institutional-grade strategies via its integrated social environment. Bypassing complex third-party copy networks, the broker's proprietary FXT Social Trading portal operates directly inside the main client dashboard. This removes execution lag, enabling clients to easily review and copy verified strategy providers.

Is FXT Good for Beginners?

FXT is only moderately suited for beginners, as its lack of swap-free accounts and limited educational academy might leave novice traders without sufficient support. Although the $50 minimum deposit is highly accessible, the platform lacks structured video courses or live webinars. Furthermore, its massive offshore leverage of 1:2000 presents a high risk of capital loss for inexperienced traders.

  • Best for: High-frequency scalpers, automated algorithmic traders using EAs, and passive copy traders.
  • Less ideal for: Absolute beginners requiring structured step-by-step training, and Sharia-compliant Islamic investors.

Compare FXT with Other Popular Brokers

FXT holds a competitive position among prominent Australian retail brokers, though competitors like TMGM and IC Markets present distinct pricing and platform advantages.

FXT vs Vantage

FXT offers a significantly lower commission rate on its premium Zero tier, but its standard educational suite is weaker than what Vantage provides. Both brokers share similar ASIC and VFSC licensing frameworks, but FXT requires a $3,000 deposit to access its lowest-cost Zero tier, whereas Vantage allows raw accounts from $50. However, FXT's Zero tier features a minuscule $0.80 round-turn commission, compared to Vantage's standard $7.00 fee. For educational depth, Vantage provides a much stronger library of webinars.

  • Takeaway: FXT is the better choice for institutional-volume traders seeking ultra-low commission costs; Vantage suits retail beginners requiring educational guidance.

FXT vs TMGM

FXT features a lower minimum deposit requirement on its standard and raw accounts, but TMGM supports a larger selection of multi-asset global instruments. Both brokers cater heavily to retail traders under Australian regulation, but FXT has a more accessible $50 minimum deposit, compared to TMGM's $100 entry baseline. TMGM has a clear advantage with over 12,000 CFDs on its proprietary IRESS platform. Conversely, FXT limits its asset library to 500 instruments but excels in trading tools with native Trading Central integrations.

  • Takeaway: FXT is the better choice for traders starting with smaller account balances; TMGM suits diversified investors seeking a massive library of global stocks.

FXT vs IC Markets

FXT provides a more economical premium account for high-net-worth algorithmic traders, but IC Markets offers broader platform variety with cTrader and TradingView integration. While FXT requires a $3,000 deposit to access its $0.80 round-turn commission, IC Markets offers its standard $7.00 round-turn commission for a $200 deposit. For non-MetaTrader clients, IC Markets is more versatile due to its cTrader support. On the other hand, FXT's proprietary copy trading app outperforms IC Markets' reliance on external social networks.

  • Takeaway: FXT is the better choice for high-volume traders who want cheap commission structures on MetaTrader; IC Markets suits active traders who prefer the cTrader interface.

FXT Broker Quick Verdict

FXT is a solid choice for high-volume MT4/MT5 algorithmic traders seeking low-latency ECN execution and exceptionally cheap trading commissions, though its basic educational resources and lack of Islamic account support make it less suitable for novice or Sharia-compliant retail investors. Ultimately, this FXT review highlights a highly reliable, execution-focused broker built for active market professionals rather than casual learners.

Editorial Transparency: This FXT review is based on information from the official FXT website, current regulatory filings, and independent third-party sources such as Trustpilot. We cross-checked the broker's regulation and license details, account types, trading and non-trading fees, deposit and withdrawal terms, platforms, and real user feedback to ensure accuracy and objectivity. This is a fraudulent platform that arbitrarily deducted over $90,000 from me, without any notification or communication. The account logs show a notation of “cyber attack.”

I have made a profit in this company and my principal is US$179,115, but I cannot withdraw it at all. They will refuse to recognize your trading profits. They will only return your initial capital when you give up on making profits.

The worst trading broker I have ever dealt with. The crypto deposits which shall be instant as stated in their website take hours. Their website states support team is available 24/5, while you cannot find them outside Australian working hours. Called their number listed in their website 20 times and all I got is "number XXX is unavailable" and the first trader I deal with that mixes up internal transfers where the funds disappear from one account and don't show up in the other account until you wait for hours for their team to check!!!!Moreover, your deposits don't show up in their transactions history until it is deposited, so you can't now if it is processing, rejected or else until you receive an email hours or sometimes days after!!!!and you can't even get an account statement imported in excel, you actually have to request that from their support team!!!overall, very unreliable broker and very very poor customer support services!

In design and functionality, FXTRADING.com's MetaTrader 4 desktop platform is almost the same as the web trading platform. One major difference is that I can set price alerts. Very good improvement.

I’m relatively new to forex treading and I’ve enjoyed my experience to date. They offer competitive rates and my account manager, Ian, has been reliable, objective and always willing to help. He’s offered much needed advise, support and learning throughout my trading experience. I plan to continue using this platform and can recommend FXTrading as a trading partner of choice.
