Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has signed a partnership with TikTok Thailand to strengthen financial and investment literacy while raising public awareness of investment scams and financial fraud.
The collaboration, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 11 June 2026, focuses on improving financial literacy, digital literacy, and investor protection through educational content on social media.
As part of the initiative, the SEC and TikTok launched the “Fin-Talk with TikTok” campaign, which aims to equip content creators with accurate financial and investment knowledge so they can produce reliable and easy-to-understand content for the public.
The campaign includes training sessions on responsible financial communication, investment education, platform policies, and content creation techniques. TikTok creators will receive guidance on presenting financial topics accurately while reaching wider audiences.
The initiative also features a nationwide video contest, giving content creators and members of the public an opportunity to submit financial and investment-related content and compete for prizes awarded by the SEC.
The partnership highlights regulators’ increasing use of social media platforms to improve investor education and help the public identify and avoid financial scams.
