Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has issued a warning against vertex-group.info, stating that the website appears to offer financial, investment and cryptoasset services in Germany without the required authorisation.
Operating under the name Vertex Capital Group, the website claims to be based in London, UK, and supervised by a so-called “Financial Conduct & Regulatory Agency (FCRA)”.

However, no such regulator exists in the UK. The legitimate UK financial regulator is the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and Vertex Capital Group is not registered with the FCA.

The use of a fictitious regulator raises serious concerns about the platform’s regulatory claims. A company displaying regulatory information on its website does not mean it is actually authorised.
BaFin has also flagged several previously active domains that appear to be linked to the same operators. These include:
vertexgroup.company
vertexcapital-group.com
vertexcapital-group.pro
All of these websites have since been deactivated – a pattern often seen with scam operators who frequently change domains to avoid detection.
BrokersView found that vertex-group.info was created on June 15, 2026, making it a relatively new website.

BrokersView’s investigation has uncovered that the design, structure, and content of vertex-group.info bear a strong resemblance to crownexcapitalgroup.com – a platform previously warned about by BaFin on June 2, 2026.

Crownex Capital Group also claimed to be based in the UK and falsely cited the same fictitious “FCRA” as its regulator. The FCA register contains no authorized firm under that name. Based on these misleading claims and the lack of a genuine licence, BrokersView assessed Crownex Capital Group as appearing to be a scam.

The similarities between Vertex Capital Group and Crownex Capital Group extend beyond the use of the same fake regulator. Their website layouts, presentation styles, and regulatory narratives appear highly alike, suggesting they may share a common template or even the same operators.
Following its investigation, BrokersView has recently added Vertex Capital Group to its list of fraudulent brokers. The assessment is based on:
No FCA registration
Claims of oversight by a non‑existent regulator
Previous deactivated domains linked to the same operators
Strong resemblance to a platform already warned by BaFin
A newly created domain with no track record
The case of Vertex Capital Group highlights a common tactic used by suspicious investment platforms: creating professional-looking websites, using UK addresses, and referencing impressive-sounding but nonexistent regulators to appear legitimate.
Before depositing funds or sharing personal information, investors should always verify a company’s regulatory status through official regulator databases.
