Ing Dara, a key Prince Group figure, has been arrested in Cambodia and referred to court over suspected involvement in online scam compounds, the Cambodia China Times reported, citing law enforcement.
Huang Ron and Eang Soklim were also arrested. Eang Soklim is alleged to be the nominal head of the “No. 8” scam compound in Prey Veng province.
Ing Dara, 45, is a Cambodian businessman who served as a director of Jin Bei Group, Cambodian Heng Xin Real Estate and Yuan Ke Shi Ye Investment (Cambodia).
He faces US and UK sanctions. Britain's 2025 designation cited suspected involvement in Cambodian scam centres linked to forced labour, slavery and cruel or inhuman treatment.
A senior Cambodian anti-scam official told the newspaper on October 21 that Prince Group was suspected of organised serious fraud and money laundering. Courts had issued arrest warrants for 32 defendants and placed four others under judicial supervision.
Authorities were ordered to identify five more suspects and related assets. Another 29 suspects had fled abroad; Cambodia was seeking Interpol Red Notices and cooperating with the FBI and China's Ministry of Public Security.
Courts had frozen nearly $1 billion in assets, including buildings, casinos and thousands of properties. Investigators identified 198 linked companies: 98 in Cambodia and 100 overseas.
Founder Chen Zhi and key figures Li Xiong and Liu Ren had previously been arrested in Cambodia and escorted to China in separate transfers, the report said.
