TenTrade has appointed Wilfred Obasi as Regional Director for Africa, strengthening its leadership team as the broker expands its presence across the continent.
Obasi succeeds Victor Ufot in the role and will lead TenTrade's commercial strategy and regional expansion efforts across African markets. His responsibilities include developing strategic partnerships, strengthening relationships with local trading communities, engaging with regulators and service providers, and increasing the broker's brand presence throughout the region.
He joins TenTrade after a 13-year career at Exinity, where he held a range of leadership positions focused on business development and regional growth. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience in the African FX industry, including regulatory frameworks, partnership development, and stakeholder management across multiple jurisdictions.
Commenting on his appointment, Obasi said he aims to expand TenTrade's commercial footprint by building strategic partnerships and strengthening engagement with local trading communities. He added that Africa presents significant growth opportunities for the brokerage industry.
Andreas Andreou, TenTrade's Chief Revenue Officer, said Obasi's knowledge of African markets and industry experience will support the company's efforts to deepen its regional presence and accelerate expansion across the continent.
The appointment follows a series of senior leadership hires by TenTrade as the broker continues to invest in business development and international growth. Earlier this year, the company appointed Andreas Andreou as Partner and Chief Revenue Officer and Marios Morfakis as Chief Sales Officer to strengthen its commercial leadership.
With Obasi leading its African operations, TenTrade is reinforcing its commitment to one of the fastest-growing regions for online trading. The broker plans to expand its local partnerships, strengthen its regional trading ecosystem, and establish a broader presence across key African markets as competition among international brokers continues to intensify.
