SandStoneFX Review: Account Tiers, Fees and Withdrawal Conditions

Overview: the warning comes before the account comparison

SandStoneFX markets a browser-based CFD service with multiple account tiers, educational material and higher-tier support. There are specific features worth examining, but a material regulatory issue comes first: the UK's FCA named SandStone FX and sandstonefx.com in a 14 May 2026 warning, saying the firm is not authorised by it, may be targeting UK customers, and should be avoided. An offshore licence claim does not cancel that warning or establish UK permission.

The website itself says its services lack EU and UK regulatory protections and are not directed at US residents or people in jurisdictions where use is prohibited. The warning is not a worldwide criminal conviction, but it is a direct reason not to present this as an ordinary authorised UK brokerage. For other residents, the actual company behind the account and its authority to serve them remain essential.

The advertised mobile-web access, broad CFD categories and educational tiers are potential conveniences. Against them stand unresolved domain-to-licensee verification, sharply different account thresholds across the broker's pages, a potentially substantial inactivity clause, and restrictive conditions attached to company-funded or bonus arrangements. These are concrete limits on the service, not merely generic CFD risks.

Company identity and regulatory scope

The business terms identify Ever Financial (Global) Limited in Mauritius and cite licence GB 21026323. Other pages use corporate registration C 179787. Those are different kinds of identifier; a company registration number should not be relabelled a financial-services licence. The website also describes Gibraltar-registered Ever Financial Limited as a payment agent and mentions Saint Lucia's Ever Financial Overseas Ltd. A payment agent or company registration is not itself proof of investment-service authorisation.

The BrokersView SandStoneFX profile marks the Mauritius connection unverified. Its 19 May 2026 Q&A distinguishes a registered entity from the missing confirmation of the operating domain. A company existing in a regulator's records is not enough to establish that an unrelated-looking website is authorised to use its details. Equally, an unconfirmed connection is not proof that the named company does not exist.

The FCA warning is independently identifiable by the SandStone FX name, domain and Antwerp address. It must not be confused with the separate Sanderfx warning. Until the contract, domain and accepting legal entity are clearly matched, licence wording on marketing pages is an insufficient basis for a funding decision.

Account tiers: two very different price ladders

Tier Dedicated accounts page Material qualification
Classic USD 200; standard spreads; commission-free claim The business terms instead define a 100-unit minimum
Bronze USD 5,000; up to 10% spread reduction One 'protected trade'; compensation conditions not specified here
Silver USD 10,000; three protected trades Homepage instead quotes USD 500 and up to 20% reduction
Gold USD 25,000; up to 40% spread reduction No absolute spread or verified cash saving supplied by that percentage
Platinum USD 50,000; up to 70% spread reduction Requires substantially more committed capital
VIP USD 100,000; tailored account Homepage instead quotes USD 1,000

The dedicated accounts page describes a progression from USD 200 to USD 100,000. The homepage instead presents Classic at USD 200, Silver at USD 500 and VIP at USD 1,000. The agreement defines a minimum deposit of 100 units in USD, GBP, EUR or CHF, while separately naming EUR, USD and GBP account denominations. Neither the smallest amount nor the largest should be silently selected as the universal current requirement; a CHF minimum reference also does not establish a CHF-denominated account.

The discounts are relative claims, not executable quotes. An 'up to 40%' reduction cannot tell a trader what EUR/USD or gold costs without the starting spread, eligible symbol, trading session and actual discount. Committing USD 25,000 rather than USD 200 solely for such a percentage is not supported by a demonstrated break-even calculation.

Bronze and Silver advertise 'protected trades'. The account summary does not set out the eligibility, loss limits, claim procedure or whether compensation is cash or credit. The phrase cannot reasonably be treated as deposit insurance, a guarantee against losses, or an independently verified benefit.

Trading costs and the cost of leaving cash idle

Classic is advertised as commission-free, but the agreement refers actual fees and financing to Trading Instrument Tables. Spread, overnight swap, currency conversion and payment charges can still apply. Published percentage discounts do not supply a reliable average spread, and there is no basis here to invent a standard gold or FX round-trip cost.

For a purely illustrative EUR/USD trade of 100,000 EUR in a USD account, one 0.0001 pip has a USD 10 value. A hypothetical 2 pip spread would cost USD 20 before financing, commission if applicable and slippage. That is arithmetic, not a SandStoneFX spread measurement. A credible quote comparison needs the actual contract specification and all cash charges for the same position.

Clause 4.24 is particularly consequential for infrequent use: after 30 days without account activity, the company reserves a penalty of up to 1% of balance per day, but not less than EUR 10 per day. The wording combines a percentage ceiling with a fixed minimum and does not give a fully clear debit formula for every currency. It should not be rewritten as a small monthly maintenance charge, nor described as a charge already proven to have been taken from every client.

At the stated EUR 10 daily minimum, ten charged days would total EUR 100 if the clause were applied on that basis. This is a conditional calculation, not a forecast of deductions or a claim about compounding. The potential charge makes leaving unused cash in an account a separate decision from comparing trading spreads.

Platform, instruments and trading rules

The public site describes a mobile-browser platform with web login, charts and market information. That is a plausible convenience for manual access across devices, but it is not evidence of a working MT4/MT5 server, EA compatibility or measured execution quality. The older MT4 field in the shop profile should not be treated as a verified platform offer for a new account.

Marketing lists forex, shares, indices, commodities, crypto, bonds and ETFs in various places. The agreement defines CFD transactions without ownership or delivery of the underlying assets. A stock-related CFD does not carry shareholder voting rights, and a category page is not a complete list of currently enabled contracts. Margin, minimum order size and financing need symbol-level confirmation.

The terms allow order prices to differ during sharp movements and provide a specified procedure for erroneous quotes; that is not proof all stop orders are guaranteed or that any profitable transaction can be cancelled at will. The explicit scalping prohibition in clause 9.3.8 belongs to the separately agreed semi-funded arrangement. It should not be expanded into a blanket claim that every ordinary account bans all short-term trading.

Deposits, withdrawals and funded-account conditions

Issue Published contractual condition What it means
Bank/card/e-wallet costs Bank and payment-provider charges may be passed on A zero broker fee field is not a total-cost guarantee
Card/e-wallet deposit Provider charge up to 4% may be deducted Equivalent bonus is not withdrawable cash
Ordinary withdrawal Limited to free funds; no third-party payments Margin is not immediately available for withdrawal
Semi-funded arrangement Additional agreement;12-month period; first-year own-deposit withdrawal up to 20% Not the general rule for every ordinary account
Signed bonus arrangement Up to 30% of deposited funds without breaching bonus terms Needs the specific bonus contract, not a universal withdrawal cap

The payment illustrations in the shop include card and bank methods, but neither a payment logo nor a stored zero-fee field proves availability, cost or arrival time for the account being offered. The website agreement permits bank/payment-provider costs to be deducted. For a card or e-wallet deposit, clause 13.8 allows a provider charge up to 4%, offset with an equal nonwithdrawable bonus. If a USD 1,000 deposit incurred a 4% charge, that would be USD 40 of cost; a USD 40 trading credit would not restore USD 40 of withdrawable cash.

Ordinary accounts and semi-funded accounts must be separated. Clause 9.3 requires an additional agreement for company matching capital, sets a 12-month period, allows up to 20% of the client's own deposit to be withdrawn during that first year, and places profit withdrawals after 12 months. It specifies a 75/25 client/company profit split, or 50/50 for copy-trading profits within that arrangement. These are not ordinary-account liquidity terms or a guarantee of funding being offered to everyone.

A separately signed bonus agreement has its own 30% deposited-funds withdrawal provision in clause 13.14. Additional protective controls in section 14 are triggered where company funds materially exceed the client's net invested capital. Combining those provisions into a universal claim that SandStoneFX never releases more than 20% or 30% would misstate their scope.

A complete account-specific withdrawal tariff, verification timetable and bank-arrival guarantee are not established by the public disclosures discussed here. The shop's 1–7 day field is not a substitute for the actual payout instruction. That uncertainty should remain explicit rather than be filled with an invented 'fast withdrawal' promise.

Client protection and complaint handling

Clause 5.10 promises to cover a negative trading balance. However, clauses 13.6–13.7 address suspected platform abuse, connected accounts, netting and exceptions for misrepresentation or fraud. The protection should be described with those triggers, not as an unconditional guarantee and not as wholly absent. It also does not protect the deposited capital from trading losses.

The contact page advertises 09:00–18:00 GMT+2, five days a week. Terms give compliance.efg@sandstonefx.com for formal complaints and impose a short three-working-day period for trade complaints; statement discrepancies are subject to a one-working-day notification provision. The separate complaints policy provides a written response within 14 days or an explanation of a needed extension, and says applicable legal rights remain available. A response deadline is not a withdrawal settlement promise.

The policy describes escalation to Mauritius FSC subject to its procedures, eligibility and jurisdiction. Given the unresolved domain/entity connection, that reference should not be sold as a guaranteed ombudsman remedy or refund. Retaining the actual contract, payment recipient, order numbers and correspondence is particularly important.

What users on BrokersView report

The BrokersView user-feedback section contains both positive and negative experiences. KXQO 785 V 9 R, on 27 December 2025, praised the interface and support replies. Katlego Umar, on 22 July 2026, reported volatile slippage and prolonged review of large withdrawals; Mihirkumar Yaghmour, on 17 July 2026, described spread spikes and slow withdrawal review.

Those comments are users' statements, not adjudicated findings or measured failure rates. A report of a prolonged review does not establish that money remains unpaid today, and a positive interface review does not verify regulatory status. The country labels on comments also do not establish that residents there are currently eligible to open an account.

Overall assessment and common questions

A browser interface, training and tiered assistance are identifiable elements of the advertised service, but the evidence is not sufficient for an unqualified recommendation to fund it. The FCA warning, identity-verification limit, conflicting account thresholds and potential idle-account charges deserve more weight than promotional spread discounts. The SandStoneFX company record is a useful starting point for the internal warning and feedback, not a substitute for resolving those specific issues.

Is SandStoneFX FCA-authorised? The FCA's 14 May 2026 warning says it is not. Is the minimum deposit USD 200? That is the Classic marketing threshold, while other account and agreement figures conflict; it is not a verified universal requirement.

Are all withdrawals subject to a 12-month lock? No. The 12-month provisions discussed above concern the separately agreed semi-funded arrangement, not every ordinary account. Does 'commission-free' mean no costs? No; spread, financing, conversion, payment and potential inactivity charges remain distinct.
