ATC Brokers Review: MT5, Trading Costs and Withdrawal Fees

ATC Brokers at a glance

ATC Brokers combines separately priced forex trading with MetaTrader tools, rather than competing primarily on a tiny opening deposit. Its published forex commission is USD 6 for opening and closing one standard lot, and its global website now presents MT5 with an additional trading plug-in. The important qualification is that an ATC account is not a single worldwide product: the UK, Cayman Islands and Seychelles entities cannot be treated as interchangeable.

The UK website explicitly limits its services to professional clients and eligible counterparties. US applicants must meet the Eligible Contract Participant condition stated by the broker. Residence, legal eligibility and the entity accepting an application therefore come before a platform comparison; an English or Chinese website is not local authorisation.

Feature Published condition Practical implication
Initial funding 2,000 USD, EUR or GBP The minimum is in the selected currency, not one USD-equivalent threshold
Forex commission USD 6 per 100,000-unit lot, round turn Add the spread, swaps and any conversion costs
Trade size Forex from 0.01 lot Minimum trade size does not reduce the initial funding requirement
Platforms Global MT5 page; UK MT4/MT Pro promotion Confirm the platform and plug-in for the actual entity
UK access Professional clients and eligible counterparties only Legacy retail margin tables do not establish current retail eligibility

The useful strengths are an explicit round-turn forex commission, support for small forex position sizes, and additional order-management tools. The main trade-offs are a meaningful initial funding requirement, fixed bank-withdrawal charges, and different or inconsistent payment information across the entity documents. These matter more to an account decision than a generic 'ECN' label.

Regulation and the entity holding the account

The group identifies ATC Brokers Limited in the UK under FCA reference 591361, ATC Brokers Limited in the Cayman Islands under CIMA 1448274, and ATC Brokers LTD in Seychelles under FSA SD078. CIMA's list for the period ended 31 December 2025 names the Cayman company as a securities broker/dealer. A group licence list does not make an offshore account an FCA account or transfer UK compensation arrangements to it.

The FCA has also published a warning about the clone domain atcbrokersltd.com, distinguishing it from the genuine authorised UK firm. That is an identity warning, not a finding that the legitimate ATC group is the clone. The entity and contact details in the account agreement need to match the business receiving funds.

Cayman business terms, clause 28.3, say platform safeguards can fail and a negative balance can arise. A stop-out setting is consequently not a guaranteed loss ceiling. Investors who require contractual negative-balance protection should establish its precise scope rather than infer it from the UK brand presence.

Accounts, funding threshold and platform choice

The account-opening FAQ specifies individual, joint and corporate registrations, with initial funding of 2,000 in USD, EUR or GBP. A EUR 2,000 account is not the same capital commitment as USD 2,000. The ATC Brokers profile also contains a USD 5,000 field and older MT4 information; the broker's account-opening FAQ and current platform page describe a different entry requirement and an MT5 offering. The signed offer should settle which conditions apply.

Global MT5 materials describe EAs, bracket orders with OCO functionality, strategy orders and mobile access. These are capabilities advertised for the platform and its plug-in, not proof of better fills or profitable automation. The UK website separately promotes MT4 and MT Pro. An existing MT4 EA is not automatically an MT5-compatible program; migration, plug-in access and the intended account server need checking before transferring a working strategy.

The product FAQ lists forex, indices, commodities and cryptocurrencies. These are leveraged trading exposures, not evidence that the account delivers ownership of shares or withdrawable crypto coins. The product menu alone does not establish that every instrument is enabled for every entity or client category.

Forex trading costs: what USD 6 actually buys

A standard forex lot in the published example is 100,000 units. The USD 6 commission is round turn, not USD 6 at entry plus another USD 6 at exit. The FAQ also quotes USD 0.60 for a 10,000-unit mini lot. Actual commission remains subject to the client's commission acknowledgement, and a non-USD account may incur currency conversion.

For an illustrative one-lot EUR/USD round trip in a USD account, a 0.0001 pip is worth USD 10. If the spread were 0.5 pip, the spread component would be USD 5 and commission USD 6, making USD 11 before financing, conversion and slippage. At 1.0 pip, the same arithmetic gives USD 16. Neither spread is a measured ATC average. This example shows why the commission alone cannot establish that an account is cheapest.

The broker publishes variable spreads. Overnight forex positions can receive or pay swaps; its FAQ specifies the rollover time as 17:00 EST and a Wednesday triple rollover for forex. Holding a position longer can therefore change the comparison more than saving a small amount of entry commission. The Cayman FAQ quotes 200:1 leverage, but that is an entity-specific setting, not a recommendation to use maximum exposure.

Deposits and withdrawals: payment route changes the economics

Division / route Deposit Withdrawal
Cayman bank wire No broker deposit fee EUR 30 / USD 40 / CAD 40 in the rate schedule
Cayman cryptocurrency, if enabled 1% in the rate schedule 8% within first 60 calendar days of initial funding;0.25% after 60 days
UK bank wire No broker deposit fee GBP 25 / EUR 30 / USD 40
UK card / Skrill, where available 2.9% Card no broker fee; Skrill 1%
UK Faster Payment Not stated here GBP 10; UK residents only; maximumGBP 100,000

The global account-opening FAQ says funding is by bank wire only, while the Cayman rate schedule also lists crypto charges. Those disclosures do not establish that cryptocurrency funding is enabled for a particular applicant. They establish a potentially expensive condition if that route is offered. Similarly, UK card and Skrill prices should not be presented as available to all Cayman or Seychelles clients.

For a USD 500 bank withdrawal charged USD 40, the broker fee alone is 8% of the amount; for USD 5,000 it is 0.8%. Intermediary-bank and conversion charges can add to that. For someone making frequent small withdrawals, this fixed fee can outweigh a modest forex commission saving. There is no need to assume slow trading automatically makes an account suitable.

The Cayman crypto schedule is particularly important:8% within the first 60 calendar days of initial funding, versus 0.25% after 60 days. The precise boundary, enabled coins, processing provider and applicable fee base should be confirmed in the actual payment instructions. Waiting is not a substitute for assessing trading, custody or counterparty risk.

The UK schedule requires the original card deposit to be returned to that card before other withdrawal methods. Its GBP 10 Faster Payment route is restricted to UK residents, with a GBP 100,000 transaction limit. These restrictions belong to that UK schedule, not a universal funding menu.

The FAQ says withdrawal requests are processed in 1–2 business days. That is a broker processing estimate, not a guaranteed bank credit time. Both schedules also impose a dormant-account charge after at least six months without completed orders: the lesser of the balance or 50 units of account currency, repeated on a six-month basis thereafter. It is not a monthly USD 50 fee.

Opening an account and obtaining support

The broker asks for identity and recent address evidence; its FAQ specifies address proof from the preceding three months and certified English translations for non-English documents. Individual/joint processing is advertised as 1–2 business days and corporate processing as 3–5, but approval and documentation requirements can change the elapsed time. An application is not confirmation of acceptance.

The Cayman complaints policy gives +442033181399 and info@atcbrokers.com for initial contact, a Trade Audit Form in the back office for execution disputes, and compliance@atcbrokers.com for a formal complaint. An order dispute needs order identifiers and the relevant timestamps; an account-access or payment dispute needs the payment and account correspondence. The policy promises review and a written response, not a guaranteed reimbursement.

User feedback and the historical Oasis litigation

The BrokersView user-feedback section contains contrasting experiences. Nadja Gergely, on 17 July 2025, praised communication and a long relationship. Malcolm, on 28 October 2025, alleged an unexplained account restriction after profits; KeithFX, on 22 June 2026, alleged further payment demands and frozen funds. These are users' statements, not verified findings or a measured withdrawal-success rate. The displayed comments do not establish the final resolution of those allegations.

A separate historical matter concerns the UK company and the Oasis receivership. In Wiand v. ATC Brokers, the US Eleventh Circuit on 19 March 2024 reversed dismissal of fraudulent-transfer claims and remanded them. It held that the receiver lacked standing for the common-law tort claims, directing dismissal without prejudice. That procedural ruling was neither a final finding of ATC's liability nor a blanket exoneration, and it does not determine the outcome of a retail withdrawal complaint. It also should not be described as a current final judgment against every ATC entity.

Verdict: where ATC Brokers fits

ATC deserves consideration by an eligible trader who wants MetaTrader order tools, understands a spread-plus-commission model, and can accommodate the initial funding and bank-transfer economics. Its case is weaker for a small balance intended for repeated small withdrawals, for someone requiring the UK entity as a retail client, or for an MT4 strategy whose current account/platform compatibility has not been established.

The most useful final comparison is the actual signed entity, platform, all-in trading charge and accessible withdrawal route. The ATC Brokers company profile provides an internal starting point for its records and feedback; older fields should not override the conditions in the account offered. Neither a licence nor advanced order software removes market risk or proves that a managed-account provider will perform well.

Frequently asked questions

Is ATC Brokers only an MT4 broker? No. The global website has a current MT5 offering, while the UK site also promotes MT4/MT Pro. Availability must be confirmed for the specific account.

Can a UK retail client open an account? The UK website says its services are only for professional clients and eligible counterparties. A legacy UK retail margin table is not an invitation to ordinary retail applicants.

Are withdrawals free? Not universally. The schedules distinguish bank, card, Skrill and conditional crypto routes by entity; a Cayman USD wire is listed at USD 40.

Does USD 6 include every trading cost? No. It is the published standard-lot forex round-turn commission; spreads, financing, conversion and slippage are separate factors.
