RM31M Lost: 'High Inspirations' Scam Exposed as Victims File Reports

7 hours ago BrokersView

On April 22, seven foreign victims reported an alleged investment scam in Malaysia, claiming total losses of over RM31 million. The case involves an online platform called “High Inspirations.”

Lawyer Andy Yeoh said the victims include six Chinese nationals (including individuals from mainland China and Taiwan)  and one South Korean. More than 300 others may also be affected and are considering legal action.

The platform promised returns of 5% per transaction and attracted investors since 2018. However, withdrawals stopped in September 2021, and the platform shut down in August last year.

Victim Liu Chun Kuang said many people invested their savings, including small business owners and workers. He urged authorities to investigate and help recover the funds.

Police officer Mohd Rosdi Daud confirmed that reports have been received and investigations are ongoing.
