Indian Investor Scammed by Fake Trading Platform Yashivi, Loses ₹26.5 lakh

An investor from India suffered a loss of Rs. 26.5 lakh in a stock investment scam at “Yashvi Securities Private Limited”. The scam started with a seemly professional stock investing YouTube video.

The 35-year-old victim, Priyank Mishra, has reported to the local cyber police that he has been cheated by a fraud gang posing as stock market experts.

According to Mishra, he stumbled upon a stock investment advertisement on YouTube Shorts in April. The video not only provided what appeared to be analysis from investment experts, but also advertised a “legitimate” investment opportunity that claimed to offer significant returns.

Mishra clicked on the link embedded in the video and was redirected to a WhatsApp group featuring Nitin Sharma, Tej Kumar Jain, and Nikita Jaiswal, the scammers who presented themselves as seasoned market analysts. To gain trust, they conducted lectures, hosted interactive quizzes, and circulated fabricated success stories. These tactics were designed to lure unsuspecting investors into putting money into fraudulent trading platforms.

Mishra was persuaded to invest in Yashvi Securities Private Limited, a company that falsely guaranteed returns and fabricated account balances to create the illusion of profits. Deceived by these tactics, he proceeded to make multiple bank transfers to accounts designated by the fraudsters, amounting to a total loss of ₹2.65 million.

However, when Mishra attempted to withdraw his funds, the scammers refused, citing alleged violations of withdrawal rules. They even threatened legal action unless he invested additional money.
