Indian Forex Fraud Crackdown: ₹11.4 Million Scam Linked to Unityfxlive and Illegal Call Centre

Aug 06, 2025 BrokersView

Mumbai Goregaon police have arrested four individuals for allegedly running a fake forex trading website, unityfxlive.com, and defrauding investors of over ₹11.4 million.

The accused operated the unlicensed website and a call centre from Ram Mandir, Goregaon West, using forged Aadhaar and identity cards. On August 4, police raided the premises following a tip-off and seized laptops and computers used in the scam.

One of the accused, Sunil Gar, confessed to operating the fraudulent forex trading platform, which had 1,545 active users and 54 non-KYC users. At the time of the raid, over 200 users were online. Police found multiple investment packages offered on the website, including Demo_Unity, ECN, Micro, Mini, and Premium.

The alleged mastermind, Rohit Kadam alias "Boss," reportedly supplied mobile numbers and provided instructions to the other accused. The scam group also sent malicious links that enabled unauthorized access to victims’ mobile phones.

The arrested suspects include Rohit Kadam (34), Anul Gar (35), Sunil Laxmankar (26), Ashish Kumar Jaiswal (36), and others. An FIR was registered on August 5, and further investigations are underway.

This case follows a separate bust by India’s Criminal Investigation Department, which uncovered a ₹30 million investment scam impersonating the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and promoted via a Telegram channel.
