FP Markets has appointed industry veteran Geo Nicolaidis as Head of AI Transformation, effective June 2026. The move signals the broker's push toward AI-native operations, positioning AI as a core driver of internal efficiency and trader-facing services.
Based in Limassol, Cyprus, Nicolaidis will lead FP Markets towards what he describes as an "AI Native" future . His responsibilities include authoring AI agent guardrails and evals, transforming manual workflows, and training cross-functional teams to work with artificial intelligence.
The appointment reflects a broader industry trend where brokers are embedding AI across compliance, HR, and finance functions—not merely as a feature, but as a foundational layer of operations.
Nicolaidis joins FP Markets after more than four years at Deriv, where he held several senior product and management positions. His most recent Deriv role was Forward Deployed Product Manager from October 2025 to June 2026, where he designed and deployed an internal AI platform supporting production-grade LLM workflows for compliance, HR, and finance departments .
He also served as Executive Director of Deriv's Cyprus operations from January 2022 to May 2026, alongside earlier roles as Program Manager and Senior Product Manager. Prior to Deriv, Nicolaidis was Head of Product at FXGT in 2021 and spent around a decade at XAmplifier, holding positions including Managing Director, Head of Product, Head of Engineering, and Senior Solutions Architect . He also founded TrailBit.io, a Bitcoin forensics platform, in 2025.
The appointment follows a recent hiring spree by FP Markets, particularly in its Cyprus office. Over the past month, the broker has added Cyprus-based Skilling alumnus Nikolay Nikolaev as CTO, Doo Group executive Haris Sergiou as Global Head of Business Development, and Andreas Neophytou as Global Business Development Coordinator.
AI integration in broker operations can lead to more efficient execution, smarter risk tools, and enhanced compliance monitoring—benefits that may ultimately improve the trading experience. However, traders should remain aware that technology does not eliminate market risk; leverage amplifies both gains and losses. Always verify a broker's regulatory status and understand the risks of CFD and forex trading before committing capital.
